Cosmo Begins!

And it starts. Production on the epic six-part miniseries which will air this next football season (one new episode every home game), officially starts tomorrow. A production blog has been started here. Hopefully we'll be keeping it somewhat hopping. It'll really kick into gear after principal photography is over (which is scheduled to wrap Aug. 30th) but the TV ads and some occasional video blogs or set pics may show up. Check back from time to time.

BYU Football Test Shoot

Before we begin production on the Cosmo promo shoots, we need the Athletic Department's approval for use of their athletes. Naturally, we have to do a pre-shoot. We choreographed and shot this whole sequence in two hours. We couldn't round up 22 football players so we made due with 8. I cut it in 6 hours on Final Cut and bam it was done. Word is, the reaction so far is pretty enthusiastic.

Props to the guys who sacrificed their bodies to make it all happen. Devin, Andrew, Tom, Landon, Tyler, Nate, Theron and Q.

Ascensione

After months and months of brow-furrowing effort, yep, the Dante movie is done. If you haven't seen it yet, it's my first 'art' movie, but it's still good. Go figure. : ) It's my reinvention of Dante's Divine Comedy. Oh, just as a warning, it might be rated PG-13 for Disturbing images and thematic elements.
Anyway, props to the small army that helped out on this one.

A Second Chance

So I got pulled onto a production to help write and direct a 3 minute short film on the theme of 'Mercy'. So, for 24 straight hours we wrote, shot and edited, and this is what we came up with. It's probably one of the more serious things that I've done. It played at the 24 Hour Filmmaking Competition at the LDS Film Festival this last month. Props to Jesseca and Shark and Adam for the acting in this one.

Foxwood 205 Music Video

What's this? Hip white people (and Asian)?

Oh remember the day when hip dancing and sweet music was left only to MTV? (and Milli Vanilli)
Well now here is the online debut of the Foxwood 205 Music video which was too hot for TV, so naturally, it found a home on the internet.
(Actually, it's not to hot for TV. Maybe too cool for TV...hee hee)
Shot and edited in 3 hours.

Award Winning Baltimore Commercial

So as many of you know, I was in Baltmore for a week. Doing what, you ask? I was competing with other Universities across the nation in a communications (make us a lame commercial about the technology in the Baltimore Inner Harbor) competition. Well, we totally got robbed, but we still took second. Not a bad weekend overall with the iOscars and such, eh? Well, we won with a butchered :30 cut, so I did an extended version and a blooper reel which are here for all of you to enjoy. Written, shot and cut in 24 hours. That's skills, baby.
